All in all, another successful season for the GCFA, bring on 2016/17!

27/01/2016: GCFA play Bath College in British College League

Today, in the return of the British College League, GCFA were up against Bath College on a wet and windy day at Gloucestershire FA 3G. 

20/01/2016: GCFA in another close game

GCFA travelled to Gloucestershire FA to face Bridgewater College for the first time this season. Bridgewater were sitting in third place in the table before the game knowing that a win would take them up to second place. GCFA were in fourth spot and a victory would see them close the gap between themselves and Bridgewater. 

14/01/2016: GCFA in Close Encounter

GCFA faced up against top of the league St Brendan's College in the British Colleges League only 1 week after losing 7-1 to the same opposition.

11/01/2016: 10 man GCFA put in a spirited fight against top of the league

Due to injuries and unavailability GCFA were without Robbie Legg, Jacob Fallaize, Seb Smeed, Jordan Kelly, Tom Dodds, Scott Howitt, Sam Mahy and Dan Martin. As a result, the academy we down to 10 available players for this clash with table topping St. Brendans.

12/11/2015: GCFA give a much improved performance

The Guernsey College Football Academy clearly demonstrated how much progress they have made so far this season in only their sixth match.

21/10/2015: The Guernsey College Football Academy Secured a Fantastic Victory

The Guernsey College Football Academy secured a fantastic victory in the Channel Island Schools League by a score of 4-3 versus a strong De La Salle side who had previously beaten Elizabeth College and earned a draw with the Grammar School.

On Wednesday 14th October, the second annual Guernsey College Academy Awards Evening was held at the Performing Arts Centre with those in attendance including both former and current students.

The Guernsey College Football Academy played their third game of Channel Island league yesterday and suffered an unfortunate loss

02/10/2015: Hautlieu take advantage of fatigued GCFA side!

Another valiant effort from the Academy lads, but it all was in vain as Hautlieu College took advantage of GCFA’s second match in quick succession and severe lack of numbers available which certainly would have aided their cause.

GCFA travelled to Jersey, for a difficult start to the 2015/16 CI Schools League campaign, with 2 fixtures in 2 days.

26/01/2015: GCFA Finish Runners Up!

A 1-0 defeat to 3rd place Grammar, ensured GCFA fnished runners-up in this year's CI Schools League campaign.

06/11/2014: Great Start for GCFA!

Louie Hunter scored 2 goals in GCFA's first BCS match of the season, to help record a 3-0 victory against Strode College in Bristol.

01/10/2014: Hale Shines

din danDANNY HALE was the star as the Guernsey College Football Academy maintained their excellent start to this most open of CI School Leagues.
Although up to four teams still realistically in the title race going into this clash with De La Salle at Northfield, the academy were the only unbeaten school.

30/09/2014: GCFA 1 VICTORIA 0

Louis HunterGCFA played their second match of the Channel Island School league on Friday, when they played Victoria College. With the GCFA looking to register their first win of the season they made a positive start with both Danny Hale and Tyler McKane looking dangerous when going forward.

17/09/2014: Academy hold on to champions

DANNY HALE wasted a golden chance in the last five minutes to give Tony Vance’s Academy side a winning start to the new CI Schools league campaign. On a bone-hard and parched Victoria Avenue pitch, the local side led last year’s champions 3-2 deep into the game until Jesse Archer headed on own goal past Nick Batiste after a good ball from the right into the near post.

14/04/2014: Vance happy with improvement in GCFA team

Jason MartinEVEN in defeat, Tony Vance cut a content figure last night at the Track. ‘I’m incredibly proud of the lads’ performance tonight and their effort,’ said the Guernsey College Football Academy’s coach of his young charges. 

Goalkeeper Jason Martin (pictured right) played in the GCFA goal and the young keeper made one particularly outstanding save to tip Sean Roberts’ volley onto the crossbar in the first half.

06/02/2014: Guernsey College FA 3 Petroc College 1

Kyle SmithOver the 90 minutes GCFA were by far the more confident side, proven by ability to play out from the back with all players looking comfortable in possession.

Kyle Smith (pictured right) opened the scoring with a left footed strike from outside the area. GCFA continued to dominant possession and looked dangerous when the ball was played into the forwards feet.
